-  Offroading experts.  75 years of collective experience with both classic jeeps and state-of-the-art equipment.  The owner, Joe Sand,  has also been involved in teaching offroading technique and safety for a number of years.

As well as being the first choice shop for maintenance, repair or modification of your car, SUV, Truck or 4X4, supporting Specialized 4WD helps to support our sport.  Joe Sand is a trustee on the California Association of 4WD Clubs (Cal4) Education and Conservation Foundation, and Joe’s wife, Amy Granat works for Cal4 as a Natural Resources Consultant, and is Northern Director for the California Offroad Vehicle Association (CORVA).  Amy works full time to maintain access to our public lands.  

Amy and Joe have most recently helped to organize Comment Letter classes to teach users of public lands how to participate in the NEPA process and write effective comments to Draft Environmental Impact Statements (DEIS) that threatens to close lands to motorized recreation.
